Saige Heuer

Lab and Project Field Director

Biography:

Saige is an archaeologist with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. Her interest in migration patterns and the origins of agriculture have taken her to the Dos Hombres to Gran Cacao (DH2GC) Archeology Project in Belize, Central America, where she has conducted extensive fieldwork with a focus on geoarchaeology and soil science. For the past 5 years, she has gained professional experience in Humboldt County in cultural resource surveys, artifact analysis (specifically groundstone and lithic analysis), excavation of prehistoric sites, and field and mapping techniques. Saige has been a Crew Chief on large scale survey projects, including the August Complex Fire Survey.
